It is necessary to
Apply for Search Access before you can Request a Search.

you do not have a userid and password, you must Apply for Search Access.
Charges for searches of the Putative Father Registry in cases of non DCFS wards
to go into effect Jan 1, 2007
It has been determined by IDCFS and the State Treasurer's Office that the
$40.00 charge for PFR searches in cases of non DCFS wards will not be paid by
withdrawals from a pre paid account. Users of the service will instead be
billed weekly by e-mail for completed searches. The invoices can then be paid
by paper check, mailed to the PFR office or by ACH electronic withdrawal from a
checking or savings account. All checks must be made out to DCFS, but mailed to
the PFR. The PFR has been instructed to discontinue services to any account
that is not paid within 28 days of the date of the invoice. The
charges will be effective January 1, 2007. It will be a requirement to provide
a valid e-mail address when requesting a search of the PFR.
Please make sure your email address is valid as invoices are only being
sent by email. If you do not receive the invoice due to an invalid email
address, your account will be suspended when the invoice becomes 28 days past
due.
To avoid being charged for a PFR search for DCFS wards, it will be necessary to
provide on the search request form, a valid DCFS child ID#. This will be cross
matched with the current child ID list.
